Not so much a Green Thumb.

I wish I were better at gardening/flowering, but I am just not.  I plant stuff in the Spring but I am notorious for letting my backyard overgrow.  We just have too many weeds!  It's hard, but hopefully one day, I will have a great looking flowerbed and maybe even a little garden?  Dream a little dream, Jamie....

One thing I have conquered are my indoor flowers.  I don't have pots of flowers or anything inside, but I normally get fresh flowers from the store before I have guests over.  Whole Foods has the BEST flowers in my opinion.  So pretty and I think the price is great.  Back at the beginning of the year, I was buying hydrangeas (my ultimate favorite flower - my whole wedding bouquet was hydrangeas) this man told me that they love water and when I am changing out the water, that I should run cold water directly on the blooms.  I have been using this technique since he told me that and my flowers last so much longer!  I give them fresh water and water the blooms about every 3 days.  Below is a picture of the flowers in our guest bathroom that I bought on October 28th.  This picture was taken last night, November 9th.  Almost 3 weeks later:
and because I don't think I have ever posted a wedding photo on my blog.  Here's a peek at my flowers!
