35 Weeks.

5 more weeks?  Am I hearing this correctly?  Actually, it's 4 weeks and 5 days to be exact... but who's counting :)

Things seem to be going smoothly.  I hope I am not speaking too soon!  Jack and I have been working on getting our house organized and deep cleaned so we aren't slamming everything into the week before she comes.  And of course she could always come early, so we want to be prepared.  I actually washed all of her clothes, blankets, towels, boppy covers, changing pads, etc. this past weekend through last night.  Yikes, that took forever.  And everything is soooo small.  Folding a 0-3 month size onesie is quite the challenge.  And then of course you have stuff that says to wash by itself, wash on delicate, lay flat to dry, etc.  It's not just "wash and dry" like I do most of my clothes!

I should have nursery pics up hopefully next week :)  I'm so excited to share with you all!

This week Dawson is over 18 inches long and over 5.5lbs - about the weight of a honeydew (according to BabyCenter).  She's running out of room, so I don't feel her moving around as much as I feel big jabs or kicks.  I am getting more and more elbows and feet in my side than I am fluttery little movements :)  Most of Dawson's physical development is complete and now she will just spend the next few weeks gaining weight.

 

I monogrammed about 10 burp cloths last week for Dawson.  Remember me saying I hadn't really done ANYTHING for her?  Well I am catching up.  I am going to monogram a couple of onesies this weekend and then I think she will be set for now.  I love the little ruffles and eyelet on the burp cloths below:

Jack, close your eyes.  Haha, just kidding.  He knows my obsession with Christmas.  I ordered Dawson a couple of holiday pieces in the past two weeks.  It's going to be very challenging for me to resist a lot of the adorable outfits I've been seeing online.  SO. CUTE.  Here are three I've already purchased -  I can't wait to take Dawson to the pumpkin patch with her shirt on and little skinny jeans and boots:

One last thing - my bestie Nicole had her little boy Wyatt James yesterday morning.  This big boy weighed a whopping 11.1lbs!  So much baby to love.  I can't wait to squeeze his cheeks off.

A WEDDING Shower.

One of my besties since I was little is getting married in October.  We threw her a wedding shower a few weeks back and I want to share some of the pics!  All of the decor was made by the 4 hostesses and it all turned out so well!

The mantle was decorated with tissue poms and her future last name.  We bought 99cent wooden letters from Hobby Lobby and then wrapped them in burlap.

Beautiful flowers in vases made by hostess, Jackie :)  She wrapped mason jars in burlap string / twine and added fabric flowers she made.  So crafty.

Tank was bunny hunting from our living room last week.  He jumps around on the back of the couch like a cat.  I'm very surprised he's never fallen.  He loves his bunnies though!  There are two in the front yard in the pics below:

I started monogramming stuff for Dawson last night!  Finally!  You would think I had a ton monogrammed for her, but I just haven't had time.  Here's a burp cloth with fabric I did and two little kimono tops for her first weeks.  I have been seeing kimono tops on a lot of mom/hospital check lists so I bought a couple of cheap ones and added her initials for extra cuteness:

Jack put together Dawson's swing!  We are trying to get rid of boxes since our trash service is changing and we can no longer pile tons of crap by our curb to be picked up :)  It was nice getting this checked off the list of things to do:

Dawson's Great Grandma (Mema) collects dolls.  She has a million.  She let me have a little Kewpie doll that is in excellent condition for the nursery:

33 AND 34 Weeks.

Okay, so last week was hectic.  We had a holiday on a Wednesday then had to come BACK to work on Thursday.  When I arrived at work on Thursday, I actually thought it was Monday for probably an hour or two.  I'm not sure I'm a fan of Wednesday holidays.  Especially when then majority of my friends either don't work or took off work and were on vacation, at the lake, etc.

So I didn't blog at all last week.  I just sat at my desk and sulked apparently :)

Weeks 33 and 34 have gotten a little tiring.  I feel like I've been going, going, going lately and it's really starting to catch up with me!  Laying in bed at night, I'm having trouble flipping from side to side and getting up to go to the restroom.  Luckily Jack has become an excellent lower back rubber!  I've been kind of sore and achy in that region.  Other than a few aches and pains, I really do feel great..... Not too much longer until we get to meet our little doll.

The drapes for the nursery came in!  I'm so excited to show you all the room!  Just a few more little touches and I think I will be done.  I'm hoping to have it all wrapped up in the next week or two.  It already looks so good and I'm so happy with the way everything has turned out.  It's just what I have been envisioning!  The bedding came in and it's precious!  A friend of my mom's made it and she did a fantastic job!  I'll put her contact info up when I post pics of the nursery.  She's amazing and does fabulous work.

I'm debating when I should start washing Dawson's clothes, towels, blankets, etc.  Doing laundry is one of my top least favorite chores to do, so I'm sure I will drag that out as long as possible :)

This week I am 34 weeks and Dawson is about the size of a large cantaloupe.  Her skin is getting super soft and she's fattening up!
